Long / Billet
At İsdemir, billet production is carried out in a wide range of different steel qualities. Precise chemical composition adjustment and low steel pollution can be achieved with the BOF production process from ore using the continuous casting technique. Billets are cast with stopper-controlled immersion nozzle technology in the continuous casting facility. With the help of nozzles used in closed casting, casting of liquid steel is ensured without contact with air. In addition, center line segregation is minimized with the electromagnetic stirrer and oscillation method in our casting machines.
