High-strength structural steels for manufacture of any kind of machines and machine parts, general construction, road and railway vehicles

AlternativesThere is no alternative to this sheet.

Flat / Hot Rolled

Flat steel products are obtained by heating semi-finished products with a rectangular cross-section (slab), which are produced by the continuous casting method, to a specific temperature and then rolling them, with thicknesses ranging from 1.40 to 25.40 mm and widths ranging from 700 to 2025 mm, produceed as coil or by cutting/slit-coiling flat steel products from coils.

  1. Suitable for galvanizing as "Category A". Category A contains Si ≤ 0.030% and Si+2.5P ≤ 0.090%.
  2. Max carbon equivalent (CE) is increased by 0.01 % for Si ≤ 0.25%, and 0.02 % for Si ≤ 0.04 %
  3. The maximum value for nitrogen does not apply if the chemical composition shows a minimum total aluminium content of 0.020%.
  4. Carbon equivalent, CEV (IIW) % = C + Mn / 6 + (Cr + Mo + V) / 5 + (Ni + Cu) / 15
  5. Deoxidation method of this products is fully-killed. Minimum aluminium to nitrogen ratio is 2:1.

  1. Impact test is not carried out for thickness thinner than 6 mm.
  2. Tensile test values apply to "transverse" test pieces
  3. Could be normalized or equivalent to normalized rolling.
