5051 Quality Sheet Specification
Hot rolled unalloyed structural steels for manufacture of construction equipment, machines and various machine parts, general construction plates, road and railway vehicles
AlternativesThere is no alternative to this sheet.
Flat / Plate
Heavy plate products are obtained by rolling semi-finished products with a rectangular cross-section (slab) produced by the continuous casting method to a specific temperature, with thicknesses ranging from 6.00 to 200.00 mm and widths ranging from 1000 to 3600 mm.

- This grade is produced as "Mod" with a carbon equivalent limit. Carbon equivalent, CEV (IIW) % = C + Mn / 6 + (Cr + Mo + V) / 5 + (Ni + Cu) / 15
- The maximum value for nitrogen does not apply if the chemical composition shows a minimum total aluminium content of 0.020%.
- Produced as Plate Product
- C = 0.22 % max. for thickness greater than 30 mm,
